REPHR HIS, Aisha Buhari Pays Courtesy Visit To Atiku, Fresh Message On Nigeria Emerges
Former First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, paid a courtesy visit to former Vice President and 2027 African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Atiku disclosed the visit in a personally signed statement, expressing appreciation for the former First Lady’s gesture and describing the meeting as a reminder of the responsibility of leaders and public figures to prioritise the welfare, dignity and future of Nigerians.
Atiku said the country faces an urgent need to place the interests of citizens at the centre of national priorities, particularly as many families continue to deal with increasing costs of essential goods and services.
The former Vice President highlighted the rising prices of food, transportation, education, healthcare and other basic necessities, noting that the situation has placed significant pressure on households across the country.
He stressed that Nigerians deserve an economy where hard work can translate into opportunities and a decent standard of living, adding that the country must be built in a way that enables families to live with dignity and hope.
Atiku also called for measures aimed at reducing the economic pressure on citizens and restoring confidence in the future, emphasising the need to make Nigeria more affordable for ordinary Nigerians.
He said the country must collectively work towards easing the burdens facing citizens, restoring hope and building a nation that works for its people.
