Send Another ₦30K — Woman Allegedly Blocks Man After Receiving ₦130K
A man has reportedly lost ₦130,000 after a woman he met through an app allegedly requested money to prepare for a private outing before cutting off communication with him.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the man invited the woman to spend time with him at an apartment. Before the planned meeting, she reportedly told him that she needed ₦85,000 to take care of her hair, lashes and clothing.
The man allegedly transferred ₦100,000 to her to cover the expenses she had mentioned.
However, the situation reportedly took a different turn the following day when the woman informed him that the cost of her hairstyle had increased. She subsequently requested an additional ₦30,000 from him.
According to the account shared online, the man sent the extra money, bringing the total amount he had transferred to ₦130,000.
The woman allegedly blocked him after receiving the additional payment, leaving him unable to communicate with her.
The incident has generated reactions on social media, with users discussing the circumstances surrounding the transactions and questioning the decision to send money to someone he had apparently not yet met in person.
The story has also sparked wider conversations about relationships formed through dating and social applications, financial expectations during early interactions and the potential risks of sending money to people before establishing sufficient trust.
The identities of the man and woman were not disclosed, and there was no information on whether the man had been able to recover the money.
