She explained that their relationship is not built around popular money-sharing arrangements such as 50/50 or 70/30.
According to Blessing, both she and her husband take complete responsibility when it comes to financial matters, operating on what she described as a “100/100” system. In their home, each partner contributes fully without keeping score or comparing who does more.
She noted that they both handle expenses whenever necessary and simply exchange receipts afterward to maintain a clear record of what has been spent.
Blessing said this method helps them work as a united team, rather than allowing their marriage to feel like a business partnership.
She added that introducing fixed financial ratios into marriage can make things seem overly formal and transactional, something she prefers to avoid.
For her, the priority is mutual support and cooperation, with both partners stepping in when needed instead of calculating percentages.
“It’s 100/100. There is no 50/50 with me and my partner. We just do things equally. Sometimes he pays and sends the receipt to me, and I do the same. I bring mine, he brings his. I can’t be doing 50/50 or 70/30 because it starts to feel like office work,” she said.
Blessing Obasi is widely recognized for her acting roles and production work in Nollywood.
She married Stan Nze in September 2021, and the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in October 2023.
