During the event, the Vice President will join world leaders, top business executives, and development partners to discuss the global economy and explore ways to improve its conditions.

According to a statement from his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, Senator Shettima will participate in bilateral meetings, workshops, and forums throughout the annual gathering.

One of the key events the Vice President will attend is a workshop titled ‘Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets’, organized by the African Development Bank in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. This workshop aims to enhance capital flow into Africa’s frontier markets to promote prosperous, inclusive, and resilient growth. It will be held at the Congress Centre in Jakobshorn.

Additionally, top discussions will include the Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Roadmap for Africa, in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB), fostering collaborations between public and private sector leaders to mobilize investments in Africa’s frontier markets.

Furthermore, Senator Shettima will co-chair a session on ‘Turning Digital Trade into a Catalyst for Growth in Africa’ at the Pischa Congress Centre. This session will facilitate forward-thinking discussions on digital trade and the private sector’s role in advancing the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol adopted by AU heads of state/government in January 2024.
