Rumors had circulated that Aduda, who represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the 8th and 9th Senate, was planning to join the APC and assume control of its party structure within the FCT.

“I’ve received countless calls over the past four days about allegedly defecting to the APC and taking over its structure—this is entirely false,” Aduda said.

“How can a landlord abandon his own house to become a tenant in someone else’s? It’s absurd.

“So, I’m making it crystal clear before the FCT PDP executives that I’m not going anywhere—I’m firmly staying with the PDP,” he declared.

Aduda, a close associate of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the PDP, emphasizing that the party remains a formidable opposition force in the FCT and across Nigeria.

In response, FCT PDP Chairman Ismaila Mohammed Yenche praised Aduda for his loyalty and unwavering dedication to fortifying the party in the FCT. He urged members and supporters to disregard the defection rumors and focus on preparations for the 2026 area council elections.
