Nigerian activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has argued that many Nigerians are not necessarily demanding round-the-clock electricity, but rather stable power during critical periods of the day.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Adeyanju said most Nigerians simply want electricity available in the evenings when they return home and in the mornings when preparing for work, rather than uninterrupted 24-hour supply.

He maintained that Nigerians’ expectations from government are modest and achievable, insisting that citizens are asking for basic necessities, not unrealistic standards. According to him, dependable electricity at key hours would go a long way in improving daily life, while industrial power needs could be prioritized at other times.

Adeyanju argued that such demands should not be difficult for government to meet, describing Nigerians as among the easiest people to satisfy.

In the same interview, he also described President Bola Tinubu as a formidable political force who would be difficult to defeat, even in a free and fair election.

Despite being a critic of the administration, Adeyanju praised Tinubu’s political strategy, saying the president has mastered the art of winning elections and consolidating power. He claimed Tinubu’s broad network of allies and influence across the political landscape makes him a dominant force in Nigerian politics.

He further pointed to the president’s alliance-building strength, arguing that the ruling All Progressives Congress remains firmly positioned, while suggesting the African Democratic Congress may be among the few opposition platforms capable of mounting a serious challenge.
