Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have issued a warning to the United States against deploying naval escorts for ships navigating the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route that has seen significant disruptions amid the ongoing Middle East conflict.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The caution came on Saturday from the Guards’ spokesman, Ali Mohammad Naini, who stated that Iranian forces are prepared to respond if U.S. naval escorts enter the strategic waterway.

Naini urged the United States to consider past incidents involving oil tankers in the Gulf before deciding to send warships.

“We are waiting for their presence,” he said, following remarks from the U.S. Energy Secretary that the Navy was preparing to escort ships through the strait “as soon as it’s reasonable to do it.”
“We recommend that before making any decision, the Americans remember the fire on the American supertanker Bridgeton in 1987 and the oil tankers that were recently targeted,” Naini added, according to Fars news agency.

The Strait of Hormuz, which links the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, is one of the world’s most vital energy transit routes, handling a substantial portion of global oil shipments.

Meanwhile, Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, reiterated that the country will not yield to pressure from Israel or the United States, as the regional conflict entered its second week.

In a televised address on Saturday, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran would continue to resist external influence despite ongoing military strikes.

“Iran’s enemies must take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” he declared on state television.
