President Tinubu Scraps Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs

Meanwhile, it has been disclosed that President Tinubu has made the decision to abolish the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

Reports indicate that this move was prompted by the perception of duplicated efforts, given the continued functioning of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Sources familiar with the matter conveyed to SaharaReporters that all duties previously handled by the now-disbanded Ministry will be transferred to the NDDC.

Explaining the reasoning behind the decision, one of the sources stated, “Tinubu has scrapped the Ministry of Niger Delta.

It was done because there is the Niger Delta Development Commission so it is like they are duplicating efforts. Now, all works done by the Ministry of Niger Delta will be moved to the NDDC.
