Chidike Emmanuel, a Nigerian skit maker, was tragically shot dead in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reports Naija News. The incident occurred as Emmanuel was preparing for a production in the Mpape area of Abuja.

According to information from Daily Trust, Loveline Imaobong, a social media user, raised awareness about Emmanuel’s death through a post on social media. Imaobong disclosed that Emmanuel’s lifeless body was discovered in a mortuary.

“The guy in the picture is lying lifeless in the mortuary, he was attacked. Any lead to his family members would be appreciated. They should please go to Mpape’s new police station, Berger Quarry. Please repost till it gets to them,” Imaobong wrote.

While the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police, Josephine Adeh, has not commented on the incident, friends of the deceased have expressed their grief on social media. They are demanding justice for Emmanuel, using the hashtag #Justiceforchidi.

In another development, the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested popular Nigerian singer, Portable. Portable was apprehended for failing to settle the balance owed on a G-Wagon car he purchased from a dealer. Despite efforts from the dealer to collect the remaining N14m balance after Portable had paid N13m for the vehicle worth N27m, Portable refused to pay, often claiming issues with the car’s condition.

Frustrated by Portable’s non-compliance, the car dealer reported the matter to the police, leading to Portable’s arrest. Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed Portable’s arrest.
