A recently surfaced video captures the Nigerian singer known as Portable, attempting to evade arrest but ultimately being apprehended by the police. The incident reportedly stemmed from his alleged failure to settle the outstanding balance for a G-Wagon car purchase from a dealership. Portable purportedly paid only a portion of the N27 million vehicle’s price, leaving a N14 million balance unpaid despite repeated requests from the dealer.

Allegedly, he claimed the car was faulty whenever pressed to settle the debt. Frustrated by the singer’s evasion, the dealer involved law enforcement, resulting in Portable’s arrest. The video depicts a confrontation at a gate between Portable and the police, culminating in a failed escape attempt by the singer. Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed Portable’s arrest when contacted. The video of the incident has since circulated online.
