The Blue Line Rail project symbolizes a monumental step towards achieving the vision of a fully interconnected Lagos. It’s not just about convenience; it’s about transforming the very essence of how residents navigate their city.

From September 5, partial passenger operations will kick off, making the services available during the morning peak hours from 6:30 am to 10 am, and again during the afternoon peak from 4 pm to 9:30 pm. What’s more, within just two weeks from the launch, the frequency of trips is expected to increase from an initial 12 to an impressive 76 trips daily. Besides operational efficiency, safety and security have been pivotal in the rail’s design and implementation. Over 300 CCTV cameras have been installed across the entire rail line, ensuring a safe environment for all commuters. The presence of command and control centers at every station further bolsters this commitment to safety.

The Governor urged Lagosians to take ownership of the rail system. “This project belongs to every Lagosian. It’s essential that we all treat it with the respect and care it deserves. Vandalism, disturbances, or any acts that compromise the safety and functionality of the Blue Line Rail will not be tolerated,” he stressed.
