During the operation, which followed credible intelligence, the police recovered a Beretta pistol, a locally made cut-to-size gun, three cutlasses, as well as phones and ATM cards belonging to victims. The arrests were part of ongoing efforts to curb armed robbery activities in Sapele and neighboring areas, targeting suspects involved in multiple incidents.
In a separate incident, the police arrested Usman Bello, who had been posing as a mentally unstable person while allegedly engaging in robbery. Bello was found with a locally fabricated Beretta pistol.
