Wike made the appeal in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, during a luncheon organised for candidates of the coalition.

He stated that he has forgiven all those who previously opposed him politically in the state, urging them to rejoin the Rainbow Coalition, which he said is positioned to win the next election and remain in power for another eight years.

According to him, “If you are talking about the governorship election in Rivers State, it is already decided. The presidential election is also settled.

“I want to use this opportunity to say that I have forgiven everyone.

“Come back home sincerely, because eight years in politics is a long time. This Rainbow Coalition will not only win the next election; we will remain in power for another eight years.

“But I will not deceive you—if you are expecting any miracle to change the outcome, it will not happen. We are fully prepared and alert at all times.”

In other developments, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has criticised Wike’s decision to deny the party access to a public event venue in Abuja, where it intended to hold its presidential candidate affirmation.

Atiku accused President Bola Tinubu of allegedly using state institutions to hinder opposition parties and weaken democratic processes.

In a statement issued through his media office, the former Vice President described the action as a breach of constitutional rights and evidence of growing intolerance toward opposition politics under the current administration.
