The movie icon made this declaration during an interview with Gboha TV.

Solade revealed that he used to be among the movie industry practitioners who sought favors from politicians but had a change of heart due to their duplicitous nature.

He emphasized that every politician has a primary profession before venturing into politics, which he likened to a mere game.

Yemi Solade further highlighted that many politicians also pursue romantic relationships with female Nollywood stars.

He stated, “You won’t catch me campaigning or endorsing any politician. It’s not worth it. I used to engage in such activities in the past until I gained wisdom and advised myself. Politicians have their own occupations; some are doctors, lawyers, surveyors, accountants, economists, and architects. Politics is just a game. I won’t be chasing after any politician, I simply can’t. They are rife with falsehoods and deception.

“I won’t be running after them for what? To receive money from their hands? Politicians have careers; even the president, Bola Tinubu, is an accountant, Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, is a surveyor, they all have their respective professions, and I am focused on mine. They should be the ones pursuing us, not the other way around. I don’t grovel at their feet. All they know how to do is to engage in relationships with our actresses.
