41-Week Pregnant Woman Delivers 4.6kg Baby After Husband’s Dramatic Church Intervention
A Nigerian man has reportedly rushed his 41-week pregnant wife from a church to the hospital for an emergency Caesarean section after she spent three days at the church despite having already been scheduled for the procedure.
The incident was shared by a woman who recounted how the husband travelled back home immediately after learning that his heavily pregnant wife had remained at the church.
According to the woman, the expectant mother had been booked for an elective Caesarean section because of her pregnancy condition. However, she allegedly chose to stay in church for three days instead of going to the hospital for the planned delivery.
Recounting the incident, the woman said she would never forget the day the husband went to the church and took his pregnant wife away to receive medical attention.
She explained that the husband was out of town when he received information about his wife’s situation. Upon learning what had happened, he reportedly travelled back home, went straight to the church and took her to the hospital for the Caesarean section.
The procedure was reportedly successful, and the baby was delivered alive, weighing 4.6 kilogrammes.
According to the woman’s account, the husband repeatedly expressed his determination not to lose his wife, saying, “It’s not me you will turn into a widower at 35.”
She added that both the mother and newborn were alive and doing well after the delivery.
The account has attracted attention online, with the husband’s swift intervention and the safe delivery of the baby highlighting the importance of seeking timely medical care during pregnancy, particularly when a planned medical procedure has been recommended.
