Woman Who Spent 27 Years Photographing Weddings Reveals Why She Never Got Married

A woman who reportedly attended almost every funeral in her neighbourhood but rarely appeared at wedding ceremonies has sparked curiosity after revealing the surprising reason behind her unusual habit.

According to a man who shared the account, the woman was frequently seen at funerals, including those of people she barely knew. However, residents hardly ever saw her attending wedding celebrations, a pattern that eventually became a subject of jokes among neighbours.

The man said he once decided to ask her why she consistently avoided weddings, initially assuming that she disliked crowded gatherings or loud music. However, her response reportedly took him by surprise.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman revealed that she had spent 27 years working as a wedding photographer, documenting thousands of couples, families and special celebrations.

Despite dedicating decades to capturing other people’s happiest moments, she had never been married herself.

When the man asked whether she had ever considered getting married, the woman disclosed that she had once been engaged but eventually called off the wedding just three days before the scheduled ceremony.

“I was engaged once. I cancelled the wedding three days before it happened,” she reportedly said.

The man explained that he initially expected her to share a dramatic story involving betrayal or another relationship challenge. However, the account ended before she disclosed the actual reason behind her decision to cancel the wedding.

Her revelation has left the circumstances surrounding the cancelled marriage unanswered, drawing attention to the contrast between her long career documenting wedding celebrations and her personal decision not to proceed with her own.
