A fake medical doctor, Collins Orji, who operated a medical facility in Ngarabe, Ekureku, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State, has been arrested by the police and is now detained in Obubra prison following a magistrate’s court order in Itigidi, Abi LGA…….. CONTINUE READING 

Orji had been running Excellent Hospital without proper licensing for both himself and the facility, as discovered by the Cross River State Task Force on Health Quality and Anti-Quackery during a visit on July 11, 2024.

Further investigations revealed Orji had previously operated medical facilities under different names: St. Collins Hospital in Ugep and Common Wealth Clinic in Ibogo, Biase LGA.

Dr. Dan Abubakar, head of the task force, stated that Orji was not a licensed medical doctor and had no formal medical training. This was confirmed when the task force, accompanied by police officers, visited his facility and interacted with him.

In a video obtained by Vanguard, Orji claimed to be trained as a homeopathic doctor but failed to provide valid credentials. He had no license to practice medicine and surgery in Nigeria, did not attend any medical institution, and performed surgical operations on patients without qualified nurses.
