The next day, the student’s mother reportedly stormed the school to confront the administration. After a tense exchange, the school’s proprietor instructed that the phone be returned to her, which was done.

However, the situation escalated when the student’s elder brother—an alumnus of the school—allegedly came to threaten Mr. Rotifa, vowing to retaliate.

Later that day, suspicious individuals were seen loitering near the school. Acting on the proprietor’s advice, Mr. Rotifa visited a nearby police station with two officers to report the threat. On their way back, the police vehicle was ambushed by the same group of assailants, who forcefully dragged Mr. Rotifa out and beat him severely.
