Falz Reveals Startling Reason He’s Hesitant To Raise Children In Nigeria

During a recent episode of the Dear Ife Series Podcast hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, Falz cited concerns about his safety due to his activism, as well as the country’s ongoing security and economic challenges.
Despite these worries, the musician emphasized his strong patriotism and hope for Nigeria’s future improvement.
When asked if he would consider raising children in Nigeria, Falz responded:
“That’s a tough question. Honestly, I hadn’t thought that far ahead. I can’t say ‘yes’ because of the insecurity, the threats tied to my activism, and the general passivity I see. It’s a difficult decision.”
He added, “I can’t outright say ‘no’ either because I’m pro-Nigerian and truly believe we can get things right someday. But I’m uncertain — we’ll see [laughs].”
