The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed as fake a result slip circulating online claiming a candidate from Cross River State scored 394 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The result had sparked attention on social media after claims emerged that a female candidate identified as Okon Winniefred Sampson recorded near-perfect scores across four subjects.

Reacting on Sunday, JAMB, through its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, said the result is fraudulent and should be disregarded by the public.

Benjamin explained that the document does not conform to the official format used by the examination body, noting that UTME results are not issued in a printable format for public circulation, as candidates can only access their scores through approved official channels.

He also noted that the registration number displayed on the slip does not align with JAMB’s standard numbering pattern, adding that several visible discrepancies further expose the document as fabricated.

The board cautioned that the spread of false result slips could mislead the public and urged Nigerians to verify examination results only through authorised platforms.

JAMB reiterated that UTME results remain accessible strictly through official result-checking channels and are not released as downloadable or shareable slips.
