According to the command, Ameh—who was declared missing on May 6—later showed up at the Maitama Police Station, where she provided an account of what happened during her disappearance.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh.
The police said investigations have already commenced to track down and arrest those believed to be responsible for her disappearance.
The statement noted that Ameh is currently cooperating with investigators and supplying information that could assist in identifying the suspects.
However, the command did not reveal where she was found or the exact circumstances surrounding her return.
Authorities also did not confirm whether any ransom was paid before she reappeared.
Earlier reports indicated that suspected abductors had contacted her family and demanded ₦20 million for her release, sparking concern among relatives and colleagues.
Ameh was said to have gone missing on Tuesday, May 6, shortly after leaving her workplace at Blades and Butchers Ltd in Maitama, Abuja, around 5:40 p.m.
She was reportedly on her way to Life Camp when her phone became unreachable, with both lines later switched off despite repeated attempts by family members to contact her.
Her disappearance was promptly reported to the Maitama Division of the FCT Police Command and the NYSC.
At the time, she had recently resumed her role as a Sales Manager and was nearing the completion of her NYSC programme, including her final Community Development Service activities.
The case gained public attention after reports emerged that the abductors had demanded a ₦20 million ransom.
Police spokesperson Adeh had earlier confirmed that a full-scale investigation was underway to locate her and determine the circumstances of her disappearance.
Following her recovery, the police said the focus of the investigation has now shifted to identifying and arresting those behind the incident.
