Speaking on The Mic On Podcast on Sunday, Oshiomhole faulted Atiku’s remarks accusing President Bola Tinubu of being insensitive to the security challenges facing Nigeria.
He questioned whether condolence visits alone could provide any meaningful solution to the country’s long-standing insecurity crisis.
Oshiomhole also alleged that the current security challenges began during Atiku’s tenure as Vice President under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He further argued that Atiku and other presidential aspirants opposing Tinubu’s re-election have not presented any fundamentally different approach to addressing the nation’s security problems.
According to him, “The last thing I heard from Atiku was that he said he would visit Plateau or Benue. Is a condolence visit all we need to solve the security problems?
“They say Tinubu is not sensitive to the mood of the nation because of his travels. But do you really believe insecurity is about that? Insecurity started under Vice President Atiku Abubakar.”
