Speculations have arisen that President Bola Tinubu might consider Ganduje as the next chairman of the ruling party after the exit of Adamu and former National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Lukman expressed concern that such a move could disrupt the party’s zoning arrangement.
He called for sensitivity and adherence to the party’s founding vision of progressive politics, cautioning against unilateral decisions by power blocs that could undermine the party’s integrity and constitutional order.
The National Vice Chairman also urged President Tinubu’s intervention to guide the process of restoring constitutional order and maintaining inclusivity within the APC.
