He contended that the past eight years were challenging for the people of the state under Wike’s administration.

“The challenge we face in Rivers State is a manifestation of Godfatherism. It is a scenario where wealth, tainted by greed, is fostered by a craving for control. That is the current situation.

The present minister himself claimed he purchased forms. In any lawful jurisdiction, by now, he should be in one of the DSS or police detention facilities. He bought the forms with whose funds?

“People talk about good governance in Rivers State, infrastructure, but I believe it’s a distorted comprehension of what truly occurred in Rivers State.

For eight consecutive years, there was no progress in agriculture in Rivers State, the employment rate plummeted.

We have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. People were hungry, and we are discussing infrastructure.

What he seeks is absolute dominance. He doesn’t want anyone, not even those supposed to visit the Governor in the government house; they are being restricted.”

Inko-Tariah alleged further that Wike controls both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

However, he maintained that the FCT minister is not as influential as he perceives himself to be, asserting that it is impossible for him to render the state ungovernable for Similaye Fubara.

“It is undeniable. I can assure you of that. For instance, the recent appointment of the APC caretaker committee, we are talking about the members, Tony Okocha, and others. All of these were orchestrated by Nyesom Wike.

It is not a hidden fact. Meanwhile, when it comes to leaving the PDP, he is reluctant. Concerning the PDP, before he departed the state, he controlled the structure, the governors, and leaders of the party.

“When he claims someone is trying to take away the structure from him, it’s utterly laughable. He suffers from a lack of reasoning and logical deficiency.

If we discuss the structure, individuals like Peter Odili had the most robust structure and the strongest hold on the structure in Rivers State.”
