AGN National President, Dr. Emeka Rollas, expressed concerns not only about Mr. Ibu but also about the declining health of another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, who has been hospitalized for over two months at the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The situation with Mr. Ibu is disheartening as he has undergone another leg amputation, adding to the challenges he has been facing. The family had previously disclosed that Mr. Ibu underwent seven surgeries, including the amputation of one leg, and was scheduled for further treatment abroad.

Dr. Rollas provided an update, revealing, “As I speak with you, Mr. Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation.”

He also shed light on Amaechi Muonagor’s critical condition, stating, “You will shed tears if you see Amaechi Muonagor now, his legs are completely paralyzed.” Dr. Rollas called on fans and well-wishers to support Muonagor in this challenging time.

The AGN president approved a sum of N250,000 to be sent to Amaechi Muonagor’s account from the AGN Trust Fund, acknowledging that more financial support would be needed. He urged young actors to enroll in the AGN HMO and Insurance programs for their well-being.

The news of these beloved actors facing health crises highlights the need for collective support and underscores the challenges faced by entertainers in times of health emergencies.
