Ebiseni, also the Secretary General of Afenifere, confidently declared that the next government in Ondo State would emerge from the opposition. Speaking in Akure, the state capital, he emphasized the evident rejection of the ruling APC by the people, regardless of the eventual candidate.

He criticized the current administration, describing it as historically inept and lacking direction. According to Ebiseni, the politically savvy populace in Ondo is tolerating the uninspiring governance, patiently awaiting the end of its maximum eight-year term.

Reflecting on the distinguished lineage of past governors in Ondo, including Ajasin, Adefarati, Agagu, Mimiko, and Akeredolu, Ebiseni highlighted their visionary leadership and mentorship within the Afenifere philosophy. He stressed the importance of leaders rising through the ranks, well-educated, and grounded in both profession and politics.

Assessing the present state government, Ebiseni expressed disappointment in the lack of creative planning for the welfare of the people, even with the additional funds from the fuel subsidy removal. He lamented the abandonment and deterioration of previous administrations’ people-oriented programs in health, education, environment, and community development.

Ebiseni criticized the misuse and neglect of buses acquired by the Mimiko administration for free movement in support of education policies. He highlighted the deterioration of Mother and Child hospitals and mega schools, attributing the decline to the current administration’s negligence.

In conclusion, Ebiseni asserted that the people’s dissatisfaction with the APC in Ondo State has initiated a process of rallying behind a notable opposition figure. He confidently stated that the rescue operation has begun in earnest through the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
