Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has made an earnest plea to Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, urging him to throw his support behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration in addressing the nation’s pressing issues.
Peter Obi’s visit to the Government House, Lafia, as part of his nationwide tour, was reported by Naija News.
In a statement released on Monday by Ibrahim Addra, the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Sule emphasized the need to distinguish between political activities and governance.
Highlighting the complexity of the nation’s challenges, Sule stressed the importance of leveraging Peter Obi’s extensive experience and expertise to bolster the efforts of the Tinubu administration in fostering a secure and prosperous country.
Expressing gratitude for Obi’s initiatives aimed at mitigating the impact of economic hardships on the populace, Sule underscored the collective responsibility of all stakeholders, including Peter Obi, in supporting President Tinubu’s agenda.
Sule remarked, “I want to also call on you Sir to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The country’s challenges cannot be resolved by one person only. We all have roles to play.”
In response, Obi lauded Governor Sule for the construction of numerous new roads in the state.
Acknowledging the positive developments observed during his visit, Obi emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating constructive endeavors in politics.
He added, “When I was coming today I saw some new roads and constructions, so congratulations. Politics is not always about thinking negatively, but we should acknowledge things that are positive.
