She expressed, “My husband consistently subjects me to physical abuse during minor disagreements. He employs the use of a cane, treating me as if I were a child and resulting in visible bruises on my body.”
Furthermore, Osu revealed that her husband borrowed N350,000 from her, promising to repay the loan. However, he failed to fulfill this commitment. “My husband took my money and left the country, leaving me and our children in a vulnerable state. When I contacted him, he callously informed me to move on with my life, asserting that he has found a better wife abroad and has moved on.”
Appealing to the court for justice, Osu pleaded, “I implore this honorable court to grant me custody of our children and dissolve the marriage. Additionally, I request an order for my husband to provide a monthly upkeep of N50,000 and cover their school fees.”
Regrettably, the respondent, Frank, was absent during the court proceedings. In light of this, the presiding Judge adjourned the case until February 1 for a formal hearing.
