The Federal Government, through the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has announced a significant price increase for prepaid electricity meters in the country. CONTINUE READING
As per the new rates outlined by NERC, the cost of a single-phase prepaid meter has been raised to N81,975.16k, up from the previous price of N58,661.69k. Similarly, the price for three-phase prepaid meters has jumped to N143,836.10k, marking a rise from its former cost of N109,684.36k.
The move is expected to have wide-ranging implications for consumers and stakeholders in the electricity industry.
