His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, has approved the appointment of the following individuals to key positions within the state government:

B. SPECIAL ADVISERS

  1. DR. Darlington Orji.

  3. BARR. AMINAYANASAM FIBERESIMA
  4. ENGR. DEEYAH BARIENE.
  5. Ohia Prince.

The newly appointed Chief of Staff and Special Advisers, along with one guest each, are expected to be seated at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House on Monday, 29th January 2024, at 10:30 am for the swearing-in ceremony by His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State, scheduled for 11:00 am.

It is noteworthy that Hon Edison Ehie, the former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, and recently recognized Speaker of the House by the state High Court, has formally resigned from his position as the speaker and member of the 10th Assembly. In a notice of resignation personally signed and addressed to the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Sunday, Ehie, who represents Ahoada East Constituency II in the Assembly, stated that the resignation was voluntary.
