Breaking: JAMB Reschedules Exams For Nearly 380,000 Candidates In Massive Overhaul

A total of 379,997 candidates affected by errors in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) recently concluded exam have been rescheduled to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) again.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The rescheduling process commenced on Thursday morning following an announcement by JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to Punch, a revised exam slip obtained on Thursday morning showed that one of the candidates has been rescheduled to write her exam on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12 noon, at a Lagos exam center located in the Igando community of Alimosho Local Government Area.

Professor Oloyede acknowledged the mistakes that affected 206,610 candidates across 65 centers in Lagos and 92 centers in the Owerri zone, which includes 173,387 candidates from five South-East states.

“What was meant to be a moment of joy turned challenging due to one or two errors,” Oloyede said. “We prepared thoroughly, but unfortunately, errors still occurred.”

He described the situation as a “sabotage” of the 2025 UTME and assured that affected candidates would begin receiving text messages from the Board starting Thursday.

Candidates impacted by the error are now scheduled to retake the exam between May 16 and May 19, 2025.
