Breaking News: Law Enforcement Apprehends Four Infamous POS And Mobile Device Thieves In Jigawa

In a statement released on Saturday, December 16, 2023, ASP Abubakar Isah, the spokesperson for the command, revealed that four individuals involved in POS and mobile handset theft were apprehended by the vigilant officers of the Kazaure Division. The suspects, led by Najib Murtala, 23, hailing from Galandi Quarters, were found in possession of incriminating evidence, including a P.O.S machine and two Android handsets.

The notorious group, comprising a total of nine individuals, reportedly confessed to engaging in criminal activities for a period of four years. Their criminal endeavors extended beyond electronic theft to include housebreaking and theft, causing fear and distress in the communities of Kanti, Katoge, and Shagari Quarters within the Kazaure metropolis.

The spokesperson emphasized that the arrests were made following meticulous intelligence work by the law enforcement team. A subsequent investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Dutse will precede the arraignment of all suspects in court for prosecution. The recovery of the P.O.S machine and mobile devices serves as crucial evidence against the syndicate, highlighting the commitment of the authorities to combatting crime in the region.
