Alhassan Doguwa, leading the Northern House caucus, expressed deep concern over the tragedy and announced plans to visit the affected area to offer condolences to the affected families and survivors. In a statement personally signed by the Kano lawmaker, the caucus condemned the bombing and affirmed its commitment to aiding the government in restoring normalcy to the region.

“The Northern caucus is set to contribute N350 million for various developmental projects, including healthcare facilities, classrooms, water boreholes, and a community town hall, to support the Federal Government’s efforts in rebuilding the community,” the statement revealed. Additionally, the lawmakers announced a monetary donation of N45 million in cash from the Speaker and the Northern regional caucus of the Federal House of Representatives.

While commending the efforts of the Nigerian military and other security agencies in combating insurgency and criminal activities, the caucus expressed concern about the persistent violence instigated by bandits and criminal elements across the country. In response to these challenges, the caucus resolved to visit Tudun Biri on November 11, 2023, to offer condolences, gather firsthand insights into the incident, and acquire valuable information to prevent future occurrences.

The lawmakers acknowledged the swift response of the Tinubu-led Federal Government in reaching out to victims and ensuring their welfare. They pledged to collaborate with the government to ensure appropriate compensation for the victims and the community, promising to provide the necessary legal framework for the compensation scheme. The caucus also urged the affected community and its leaders to remain calm and law-abiding, expressing gratitude to the Government and Governor of Kaduna State for their efforts in maintaining law and order.
