In his address during the inauguration, President Tinubu instructed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to extend the free train rides on the Abuja Rail Mass Transit (also known as the Metro Rail) for an additional six months, lasting until the end of the year. Initially, the FCT Minister had announced a two-month period of free rides to ease the commuting burden on FCT residents.
