Zahrah Audu succeeds Jumoke Oduwole, now serving as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Commenting on the appointment, Akume remarked, “Zahrah is an entrepreneur and technology expert. Her experience in business development, innovation, and investment promotion is expected to bring fresh momentum to PEBEC’s goals.”

In a LinkedIn post, Audu confirmed her new role, expressing gratitude and sharing her vision to position Nigeria as a leading global investment hub.

Stellar Credentials and Visionary Leadership

Audu has an impressive academic and professional background, with a degree in software engineering and a business management qualification from a prestigious institution in the UK.

Previously, she served as the Technical Adviser on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the President, working from the Office of the Vice President.

As PEBEC DG, Audu will spearhead the “Invest in Nigeria” campaign and oversee the Existing Foreign Direct Investors Roundtable Forum. These initiatives aim to attract and retain foreign investments while addressing bureaucratic hurdles that hinder business operations in Nigeria.

Audu is also known for her philanthropic contributions and dedication to economic empowerment. She has worked extensively to foster partnerships with international organizations and governments while advocating for policies that create opportunities for Nigerians.

“Through her initiatives, Zahrah has significantly impacted underprivileged communities across the country,” Akume noted in his statement.
