Former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, alongside his daughter and two others, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja, each required to provide ₦100 million and two sureties. They face allegations of ₦2.7 billion fraud, as reported by Naija News.

The court stipulated that the sureties must possess landed properties in Abuja, exhibit good citizenship, and furnish affidavits of their financial capacity. Additionally, the defendants are prohibited from traveling abroad without court authorization.

Justice Oriji of the Abuja High Court warned that failure to meet bail conditions would result in remandment in prison for the defendants.

Sirika faces charges brought forth by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for purported abuse of office and involvement in fraudulent contracts during his tenure. He appeared before Justice Sylvanus Oriji alongside his daughter, Fatima, Jalal Hamma, and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd.

During his time as Minister, the contentious Nigeria Air project unfolded, attracting scrutiny. Allegations of diverting public funds into accounts linked to family members and associates have been raised against Sirika.
