According to a statement by Major Mohammed Maiwada, the Public Relations Officer of the NDA, the road closure will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The affected routes include the stretch from the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot (near the Nigerian-Turkish International School Junction) through Rigachikun-Kawo Flyover to Mando-Afaka.
The statement explained that the temporary road closure and diversion are necessary to ensure the safe execution of the “Endurance Run,” a crucial training exercise for first-term cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Force as part of the NDA’s annual “Exercise Camp Initial” program.
Major Maiwada advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes during the specified hours. He also expressed the NDA’s apologies for any inconvenience caused, requesting the understanding and cooperation of the general public.
