Represented by the national women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), @edu_betta, Mrs. Tinubu expressed her desire for everyone, especially those at the grassroots level, to partake in the ongoing celebrations in Abuja this week. This act serves as evidence of Tinubu’s love for Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable, persons of concern, and the less privileged in society. The donation also signifies the celebration of Tinubu’s victory ahead of the May 29 swearing-in ceremony.

Senator Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to maintain faith and stated, “She has asked us to go to all the IDPs around Abuja, as well as other camps, and provide them with items that will help them celebrate while we are celebrating the incoming President. It is a time for prosperity, peace, unity, and celebration.”

Nigerians nationwide have been called upon to continue praying for the incoming government and provide their full support. Numerous boxes of donated items have been distributed to various camps and locations to ensure that while celebrations take place at the Eagle Square, those in the IDP camps can also partake in the festivities. This approach is a fitting way to usher in a new government, and deep appreciation was expressed to President-elect H.E Tinubu and his wife.

Furthermore, Senator Tinubu reassured the public that President-elect Tinubu would prioritize the resettlement of all displaced persons. She also emphasized his commitment to significant investments in the country’s healthcare and humanitarian sectors. The government’s action plans include comprehensive resettlement programs for all individuals and a focus on healthcare, humanitarian services, and empowering Nigerians to lift millions out of poverty.

In response to the donations, the Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, commended the current administration for its efforts in providing assistance and security to IDPs. She expressed hope that the Tinubu-led administration would build upon these achievements and further support the IDP community.

One of the beneficiaries, Abubakar, expressed his gratitude, stating, “I want to thank Tinubu for what he has done for us today. He has made us smile, and this goes to show that he is ready to help Nigerians.”
