Court Grants Man Eviction Order Against Wife And Children, Bans Return To Family HomeA controversial court ruling in Zimbabwe has sparked widespread debate after Forward Mumango, a man from Harare, secured an order to evict his wife, Primrose Mumango, and their children from their family home to accommodate his new girlfriend.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to H-Metro, Mumango obtained a protection order from Magistrate Meenal Narotam at the Harare Civil Court, effectively barring his wife and children from returning to their home.
Mumango claimed that his family’s refusal to accept his new girlfriend and their disrespect towards her had driven him to take such drastic measures. In court, he explained, “They are making it impossible for me to live in peace with my new wife. I want them out of my house because they refuse to accept my decision as the father of the house.”
The situation took an emotional turn when the couple’s daughter, Tofara Mumango, broke down in tears, accusing her father of being manipulated and abandoning his family. “How could he do this to my mum?” Tofara cried. “He is just doing this because his girlfriend has manipulated him. He doesn’t care about us. He is punishing us for not accepting his new girlfriend.”
Court officials had to intervene to calm Tofara as her emotional outburst intensified. Primrose Mumango, visibly heartbroken, described her husband’s actions as a betrayal. “He has been manipulated by his girlfriend. I’m devastated by his decision to seek a protection order against me and to evict our children,” she said.
The case has generated significant public outcry, with many on social media expressing sympathy for the evicted family and criticizing Mumango’s actions as unjust and manipulative.
