The official clarified that the parties involved in the petitions were given time to file and exchange their final written addresses, and the panel would set a date for the parties to appear in court and adopt their processes before fixing a judgment date.

The official also addressed other circulating fake news, including rumors of a former Governor of Rivers State holding a meeting with members of the court outside the country.

They deemed these reports laughable and assured that the honorable justices had substantial pending work on their desks, making such claims baseless.

Regarding social media rumors suggesting that Justice Boloukuoromo M. Ugo resigned due to alleged pressure from the Executive arm of the government, the official clarified that no such event had occurred.

Justice Ugo did not make any statements about endangering the country’s democracy or being influenced to rule in favor of President Tinubu.
