Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, is confident that the abducted students of Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State will soon be rescued. He expressed this assurance on Thursday in Kaduna while addressing troops of 1 Division engaged in combatting bandits in the North-West and other regions.
During his visit to the frontline, Minister Badaru also pledged that those responsible for the killing of military officers and soldiers in Okuama community of Delta State would be apprehended and brought to justice.
The purpose of the Minister’s visit to 1 Division Nigerian Army in Kaduna was primarily to boost morale among the troops and encourage them to persevere in their mission. He reassured them that victory was on the horizon and that the nation would soon celebrate their successes.
Minister Badaru conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s acknowledgment of the soldiers’ sacrifices and satisfaction with their dedication. He emphasized the government’s unwavering support for their efforts to combat insecurity and rescue the abducted school children safely.
“I am fully briefed on your ongoing efforts to secure the release of the kidnapped students, and I am confident in your ability to achieve success,” the Minister affirmed, expressing his confidence in the troops’ capabilities to accomplish their mission.
