During the meeting, Tinubu and the governors reportedly discussed the imperative of bolstering the recruitment of Nigerians into the police force to address the escalating insecurity across the country.

Following the gathering, a post on X (formerly Twitter) featured a photo purportedly showing Bello alongside governors and Tinubu at the presidential villa.

“Yahaya Bello is still attending FEC as the governor of Kogi even after handing over to somebody else,” the tweet alleged.

Other X users have also asserted that Bello continues to participate in meetings with the president and incumbent governors despite relinquishing power in January.
