Contracts for security provision have been awarded to safeguard the rail system, and stringent measures will be taken to prevent further vandalism.
The rehabilitation project, focusing on Lots 1A and 3 of the rail system, involves repairing and replacing damaged equipment, upgrading facilities, and implementing modern security measures.
Mr. Joseph Akinteye, the director of transportation at FCTA, highlighted the importance of rehabilitating the vandalized components to resume commercial operation of the light rail system and bring back the Metro Line services.
The managing director of CCECC, Mr. Wang Xixue, pledged the company’s commitment to contribute to the development of an advanced public railway transport system, maintaining close cooperation with relevant stakeholders for the successful completion of the project.
