From Critic To Loyalist: Asari Dokubo Reaffirms Support For Tinubu In Emotional Video

It will be recalled that about five months ago, Dokubo accused Tinubu of betrayal following the 2023 elections. In a viral video, he lamented that he had exhausted his resources campaigning for Tinubu, only to be sidelined after the victory. He expressed disappointment, stating that the Tinubu he once knew was no longer the same and even vowed to sever ties with the Yoruba political bloc in favor of alliances with the North.
However, in a fresh video circulating online on Tuesday, Dokubo appeared to make a dramatic U-turn, stating that despite past grievances, his loyalty to Tinubu remains intact.
“When you have a friend, it is difficult to part ways because you must reflect on the past. The memories of yesterday will always come to mind. In my darkest times, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stood by me. I can’t forget that so easily, no matter what happens,” he said.
