In a move that stunned oil marketers and thrilled millions of Nigerians, Aliko Dangote declared a complete restructuring of his refinery’s pricing system, introducing what he called “People-Friendly Processing Charges” (PFPC).

“We have heard the cries of the people,” Dangote said at a press briefing in Lagos. “Effective today, we’re slashing refining and distribution charges across board. Let Nigerians breathe.”

Fuel stations across the country erupted into frenzy as long queues reappeared—not out of scarcity, but pure excitement. Some motorists were seen hugging fuel attendants, while others danced Azonto near their tanks.

Black market vendors, on the other hand, were spotted in street corners whispering, “You fit believe this guy?” while trying to offload old stock at “vintage rates.”
