Olumbanasa, accessible only through the River Niger, has long been grappling with the challenges of isolation and underdevelopment. The community’s struggle for basic amenities is glaring, with no signs of progress in infrastructure or access to essential services since its inception.

One of the most striking features of Olumbanasa is its complete lack of electricity, leaving residents in perpetual darkness. The absence of a reliable power supply has not only hindered daily life but also impeded the potential for economic and social development on the island.
