In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, on Tuesday, Adeleke’s plea was communicated during a meeting with protest organizers, civil society groups, and security officials at the State Secretariat. Represented by Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, Adeleke affirmed that while citizens have the right to protest, any actions that threaten the peace and unity of the state will not be accepted.

Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and making Osun a model for other Nigerian states. He stated, “I urge you to remain law-abiding before, during, and after the nationwide protests. My administration will not tolerate any form of violence in Osun State.”
