Highlighting his dedication to revitalizing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the State, Governor Eno disclosed that the Bank of Industry is set to commence full operations at the 21-Storey Dakkada Towers in February. He urged the people to embrace this initiative, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting SMEs.

Governor Eno stated, “The Bank of Industry is opening in Akwa Ibom. We have completed the necessary preparations, provided them with space, and they have set up. By the grace of God, they will start operations in February. This move is aimed at supporting Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.”

He assured that the government would provide financial support, offering loans to business operators at a single-digit interest rate. Governor Eno emphasized that viable businesses could receive loans at a 9 percent interest rate. He highlighted the provision of accommodation and a conducive environment for the Bank of Industry to conduct its operations.

The governor also announced the empowerment of the first batch of 400 youths who completed training in various entrepreneurial skills at the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Scheme (Ibom-LED). He encouraged other youths to register for the second batch, assuring government support and empowerment for those who are proactive in their endeavors.

Furthermore, Governor Eno revealed plans to sponsor women from the thirty-one local government areas to China, aiming to expand their business scopes and enhance women’s inclusion in government programs. Similar support has been extended to students participating in the education exchange program in the United Kingdom.

Expressing gratitude for the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his governorship after 26 court cases, Governor Eno described the occasion as a double celebration – a New Year visit and a victory celebration. He thanked the party members for their support and emphasized the divine timing of the celebration.

The State Chairman of the PDP, Elder Aniekan Akpan, praised the governor for his commendable developmental achievements and for fulfilling campaign promises. Prominent party stakeholders, including Barr Emmanuel Enoidem and Amb Assam Assam (SAN), delivered goodwill messages at the event.
