I’m Too Selfish To Have A Child – Lady Reveals Why She Doesn’t Want Marriage Or Motherhood

Published

A lady has sparked conversations online after explaining why she has no intention of getting married or having children, saying she does not want the responsibilities that come with placing another person’s needs ahead of her own.

The lady described herself as selfish, admitting that she does not consider herself emotionally prepared for motherhood because she prefers to prioritise her personal needs and independence.

Explaining her decision, she said she was unwilling to take on the responsibility of raising a child when she was not ready to make the sacrifices required.

“I don’t think I’m fit to have a child. I am very selfish, and I only care about myself. I don’t want to have to put someone first before me,” she stated.

She also expressed reservations about marriage, claiming that her observations of relationships around her had made her less interested in settling down.

According to her, she finds it difficult to identify men who demonstrate genuine consideration and understanding towards their female partners.

“Nobody I know is in a happy marriage,” she added, explaining that the experiences of people around her had further influenced her decision not to pursue marriage or motherhood.

Her comments have generated discussions about personal choices, marriage, motherhood and the responsibilities associated with starting a family.

According to Bush Radio Academy, her position reflects a growing conversation about individual freedom and the decision some people make to remain unmarried and child-free rather than embrace family responsibilities they do not feel prepared to handle.
