He said the incident came to his attention after the resident pastor informed him that the church building had been completely razed overnight.
According to him, the property—acquired after several years of ministry in the country—was largely funded from his personal resources.
Suleman explained that the church had operated in South Africa for nearly a decade before deciding to purchase a permanent worship centre. The building was in use until the sudden fire incident reduced it to ruins.
He noted that everything inside the church was destroyed, including chairs, sound equipment, documents, and even the children’s section.
Speaking during a church service, he said the nature of the incident suggested it was not random.
He stated that the fire occurred overnight and that CCTV cameras failed to capture the perpetrators, leading him to suspect internal involvement from someone familiar with the premises and the camera setup.
Suleman admitted the incident was emotionally difficult for him but said he chose to remain grateful and trust in God.
He added that despite the setback, the church quickly secured a new place for worship, noting that members initially reacted with anger, while some were willing to retaliate. However, he urged them to remain calm.
According to him, the ministry has since relocated to a better location, expressing belief that the situation ultimately worked out for good.
